Registration SITA USER ID and SITA PASSWORD

SITA has entered the new procedure of SITA password updating. Old passwords must be updated before 09 NOV 2003 and exch 120 days after this date.

In this case there was a problem of safe storage and safe replacement of  SITA password. It is known, that incorrect or erroneous actions of separate users, which works with terminal emulators with direct connection to SITA (Liaison, InfoConnect and others) - can block work for all agency or even several agencies. If each user has an opportunity to change the password of agency (SITA Password) at own discretion and at any time, then after password updating - other users simply can not begin a work with Gabriel system.

In the UTS NET 6 versions only the administrator of agency or airline can update SITA PASSWORD.  This administrator is owner of SITA USER ID.

Only the  SITA USER ID  owner can to update given to him from airline the SITA Password and only for this SITA USER ID. All necessary checks before replacement of the password are carried out automatically. The user or the subagent in the UTS NET 6  does not know real SITA USER ID/SITA Password. It is not necessary for him for the beginning work. Therefore, the user has no an opportunity to change the  SITA Password as this user never receives prompt ENTER USERID/PASSWORD from SITA for password updating.

Detail comments

User name SITA USER ID is unique for airline. Only one agency administrator can enter and keep a combination: Airline (airline code) and SITA USER ID in the UTS Register. This administrator is the owner SITA USER ID.

The owner SITA USER ID is:

SITA USER ID owner

If the main agency has given out the PID number and KEY value for subagency, the administrator of  subagency should enter received PID into the SN-PID records table and to enter value of the received key into a field KEY for each PID number. Thus the administrator of  subagency should not add record to the KEY records table.

Attention !

Only owners SITA USER ID should create records in the KEY records table. For detail see KEY value assignment for SITA USER ID

If some agency works as the subagent under SITA USER ID received from the main agency, then to create records in the table KEY records does not allow. Instead it the subagent should receive from administrator of the main agency value of a KEY and to enter it to SN-PID records table by manually into a KEY field. More details in the section:  UTS Access serial number and PID number registration

KEY value assignment for SITA USER ID

3. Move to  KEY records page for keys input for real SITA USER ID and SITA Password

Attention!  If PID numbers and KEY values are given from you airline or from other agency and you do not have data for creation of own keys (you are unknown real SITA USER ID and SITA PASSWORD) - move to section:  UTS Access serial number and PID number registration for UTS Access

4. Click on New button and  fills fields in the  KEY Record window:

Unique KEY (further KEY) field contains unique key  for  real values: Airline, SITA USER ID, SITA Password. KEY value is used for SN-PID records for connection between  SITA USER ID , SITA Password  values and  PID number.

Attention ! KEY value in KEY records table allows the administrator of airline / agency to transfer only KEY value for administrator of other agency or subagency and to transfer necessary PID numbers. The real SITA USER ID and SITA Password values are unknown for agency or subagency administrator. Thus the administrator of subagency has an opportunity to execute registration of UTS Access serial numbers ( SN) and PID numbers by independently - under own UTS NET username/password.

Enable this SITA KEY record option

If Enable this SITA KEY record option checked, then you KEY value can used in the UTS NET network. It means that the users, whose serial numbers and PID are adhered to the given KEY can work in the Gabriel system. If you want to forbid work of the given KEY, uncheck this option.
